The large fluffy clouds in the sky gather in front of the sun, shading it. It gets dark, as if it is dusk already. You sense something up ahead, and walk slowly. A faint golden glow is up ahead, and you hesitate to continue. finally you decide to continue, and as you get closer there sits a creature, half-dog, half-cat. It looks at the ground, but as you approach it looks up. The creature looks at you, and without changing the look in it's eyes, part it's lips, showing the white teeth underneath them, and it growls at you. It's a quiet, un-enthusiastic noise, but in a way you cannot explain, it brings a sense of anger with it, which makes you stop. It doesn't bare it's teeth at you anymore, but gets up, as attentive as a sentry. "What are you doing here, in Falas territory?" the creature says, quietly, slowly, nearly without moving it's lips. You note that the voice is slightly rough, before practically smelling the smell of caution. "Are you Fala?" you reply. "You should not answer Falas question with a question." it says.

It paces along an invisible border, then raises it's head and closes it's eyes for a while. In a second, the air is filled of an unearthly sound, like a cat's last scream. You move your hands to clamp them in front of your ears, but before you can, the wailing stops. The creature looks at you. "Yes... I am Fala." it says, replying to your question. You look at a glass case hanging from the middle of a brach, belonging to a tree that streches from one side of the path to the other, when another creature walks up to the first. The second one's smaller, and it croches together a bit, in front of the first, larger creature. The small creature walks to you. "Greetings. I'm Laiko'E'Zyon, meaning realm of reflection. I'm a melcey, like Amdis over there. We're both guys, if you were wondering." You look up at the patroling melcey then say: "Why did he say that his name was Fala if his name is Amdis?" Laiko'E'Zyon looks up at you. "Fala means 'a crow'. Amdis is a darkness, and the darknesses have a patron elemental called Callanerial, who is a crow. I am a water, and my patron elemental is a blue squirrel, by the name of Vivanerial." He pauses, and studies you to see if you have understood. "Hence, he calls himself a crow. Fala."

"Oh." you say. "He's a bit... Unique. He was born on Friday the 13th, together with five other melceys." he adds. "And that makes him special?" you ask. Laiko'E'Zyon shrugs. "I guess it makes him able to handle his gifts better or something. Or maybe he's just more..." "More what?" you wonder. The melcey shrugs. "Just more, maybe. I must be off, traveller. Amdis will let you walk through our territory. Good luck on your continued journey!" he says, before turning around and padding off to Amdis. They bob their head to eachother, and Laiko'E'Zyon continues down the path.
